NORFOLK ISLAND SAFETY HAZARD STUDY

Together with GML Heritage Pty Ltd and Environmental Partnership Landscape Architecture, STRUCTURE were commissioned by the Department of Infrastructure to undertake a scoping study of safety risks to visitors, staff and the local community within the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Heritage Area (KAHVA) on Norfolk Island. The purpose of the report was to identify structural issues that represented safety risks and to provide appropriate, practical, creative and heritage-sensitive solutions to mitigate the risks. The KAHVA area is home to numerous historical building ruins from the penal settlement era.
